The University of Ottawa, Division of Orthopaedics is proud to offer the 13th Symposium on Joint Preserving and Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Hip to be held June 13-15, 2019 in historical Québec City, Canada. We have developed a 2 1⁄2 days symposium dedicated to a scientific and practice oriented discussion of current topics and controversies in treating the young adult with hip pain. The 2019 program will cover varying topics, including hip arthroscopy, femoro-acetabular impingement (FAI) / dysplasia, hip resurfacing, less invasive hip replacement surgery, as well as expert panels to discuss controversies of outpatient joint replacement, dual mobility, resurfacing and large ceramic heads. This year's program will also feature cadaveric demonstrations to illustrate specific techniques in both joint preservation (arthroscopy, osteotomy) and anterior approach hip resurfacing.
The Symposium will welcome expert faculty from around the world, including:
- Denmark: Dr. Stig Sorgaard Jakobsen, Dr. Bent Lund, Dr. Kjeld Soballe
- France: Dr. Frédéric Laude, Dr. Olivier May
- Japan: Dr. Nobuhiko Sugano
